There’s going to be a new job category in the near future called “Prompt Engineer.” You’re almost there. This is looking brilliant…I’ll finish it tomorrow.
Funny, I’m reading a book now which revolves around a sperm donor meeting his “daughter” that was born from the process. I did finish reading and this is impressive stuff!
This “alien” – a true and compelling alien, is just cracking the egg shell it’s found itself within.
Did you ever read The Diamond Age, Neal Stephenson? This getting close to that. This “young lady’s primer” can soon do nearly everything that Stephenson’s “primer” could do: guide, teach, monitor, alert, console, a mentor in a box, pretty much.
Alexa was the trashy bitch who “might” answer your questions — all the while saving your recordings for Bezos to mine.
The next version of this Claude or Jarvis or Mavis will be 1000x’s as knowledgeable and clever and totally willing to do anything at your bidding.
The world is changing much faster than anyone can realize. Exponential? Humans don’t do exponential.
Absolutely.
And using this tool this way works pretty well. Again, this is a toddler LLM, and when it gets to be a teenager, next year — maybe — you’ll be able to just give it a few clues and off it goes.
So, Goldie, here’s a question for ya: Did you find yourself discounting the output of ‘Claude’? Did you experience any “this is a bot, its words don’t count” feelings while you read this?
I found myself dismissing its effort knowing that it wasn’t a human asking to be corrected or directed.
Yes, but I don’t think it was because I knew Claude was AI. It was because things weren’t written in your style. The initial entries included rather basic sentence structures. I did like the final tries, though a bit more.

Had to switch over to TypeScript which is a dirty, foul language, full of potential bugs and gotchas.

You are a fantastic prompter/guide. The results are great, but your direction was what made this a success.
